The 2.0-liter B48B20 and 3.0-liter B58B30M turbocharged engines in the listed BMW models are equipped with an indirect charge air cooling system. This means that the charge air is not cooled by ambient air (as is typical), but by its own dedicated cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature directly translates to improved charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the enhanced WAGNERTUNING radiator come into play. The newly developed racing core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance radiator increases the volume of the OEM water cooler by a total of 117%. The calculated ratio of internal to external cooling surface area generates maximum heat transfer while simultaneously ensuring sufficient airflow for surrounding components (e.g., the engine radiator) to perform their own heat exchange. Furthermore, by using an increased amount of cooling water, the overall system temperature can be maintained at a lower level for a longer period.
All WAGNERTUNING radiators are equipped with a thermally conductive, corrosion-resistant coating to ensure long-lasting cooling. The system's plug-and-play installation is simple and easy to perform (installation instructions are also included).
