These radiators cool the water circulating in the intercooler, and the water dissipates heat from the charge air before it enters the engine. The main difference lies in the design of the B58's water-to-air intercooler, which is integrated into the intake manifold, while the F80 S55's intercooler is a separate unit mounted on top of the engine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eChallenges of the B58 charge air cooling system\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eA common problem with tuned B58 engines is the rapid absorption of heat from the supercharger air cooling system, especially during track days.\u003cbr\u003e High intake air temperatures will cause the ECU to reduce power output or put the car into limp mode. Even spirited driving can prompt the ECU to pull the timing and decrease power output due to the high intake temperature.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eOur solution\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003eIt is clear that this system requires increased cooling capacity to prevent heat soaking. Part of our solution is our do88 Performance Front Mount Heat Exchanger. The do88 Performance Front Mount Heat Exchanger is designed to provide increased cooling capacity, preventing heat absorption. It includes:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cul\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003e Core volume 80% larger than the original (OE) radiator.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003e Dual-row core, 48 mm thick, increasing the cooling surface area by 36%.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003e Four-pass arrangement, allowing water to pass through the radiator four times instead of two, thus maximizing the use of the core surface area.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003e Slightly greater ambient wing height of 5 mm (compared to the 4.4 mm of the original equipment), ensuring good airflow to the engine radiator despite the increased core thickness.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n \u003cli\u003eConstructed entirely of aluminium, with durable TIG welded end tanks.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\u003cli\u003e Increased fluid capacity (2.6 liters more) for optimal heat dissipation.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\n\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eFacility\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Our heat exchanger includes mounting points for the stock transmission cooler and both stock rock guards.
