DESCRIPTION
ACL standard size performance connecting rod bearing set for BMW N54/N55/S55 RACE.
The unique combination of design, metallurgy, and engineering comes together to deliver what drivers expect from high-performance Trimetal engine bearings. Designed to withstand higher RPM conditions, ACL Race Series engine bearings are available for many popular 4, 6, and 8-cylinder applications.
We can assemble and adjust the parts in our workshop. Feel free to contact us by email if needed: RpK.MotorSport@gmail.com
MAIN FEATURES
- High-strength cover plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backing on all connecting rod bearings to improve support of the bearing liner and facilitate bearing retention in the housing.
- Increased compression for better pad retention
- Elimination of flash plating on the back of the pads to improve heat transfer through the pads and maximize adhesion between the pads and its housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and to aid in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load area and oil flow to connecting rod bearings.
- Strict and consistent wall tolerances to help you maintain consistent clearances.
- Enlarged ID chamfers on the edges of the bearings where required to accommodate a large fillet radius on high-performance crankshafts.
